My morning routine for summer is not much different than my regular morning routine other than I like to get up early and get outside first thing when the sun comes out and before the heat sets in. I like to get outside and run before it gets hot. This is something I don’t do in the cooler months since the sun doesn’t come up as early. The extra cardio is a benefit in the summer since you tend to want to feel leaner as a result of wearing less clothes.
I like to be up early in the summer since the sun is out and the birds are chirping. If you live somewhere where summers can be especially steamy it helps to get outside if you need to be earlier than later to beat the heat.
If you are an acne prone girly you know the importance of washing your face first thing after you wake up. It also will help you wake up.
I then make my way to the kitchen where I keep my ice roller (in the freezer). If I am not going to have time for a run/walk outside I will start my coffee and roll my face while I wait for it to brew. If I do plan to run/walk outside, I roll my face and grab some water.
It is so important to get hydrated early. I try my very best to get a good amount of water in my belly before the coffee.
Like I mentioned earlier I love getting out for a run or even a hot girl walk before 7 am. It is a great addition to any summer routine. Even if you don’t run, maybe try gardening, walking the dog, playing pickleball with a friend, or walk to get some coffee from a coffee shop. Even though its early be sure to still protect your skin and out on some SPF.
Assuming you’ve been outside doing some physical activity it is best to shower right away. I like to shower right after I workout and use this wash to prevent any body acne. I like to user this shampoo and conditioner in the summer because I feel my hair resists the humidity the best when I use it.
I always do my skincare routine right after I get out of the shower. I like to start with an anti bacterial mist, this one is my fave, since it is summer and sweat tends to happen throughout the day. I then follow with a serum, moisturizer and SPF.

I love to do an iced coffee, tea, or matcha in the summer. Be sure you got some water first though! For breakfast, a cold overnight oat, with chia seeds, and greek yogurt for protein. In the summer, I like to add some seasonal fruit like strawberries.
While I eat breakfast I like to do something somewhat productive for my min before scrolling on my phone. This is a huge struggle but being mindful about reaching for a book instead of your phone can make an impact on your mindset to start the day. I personally have never been into journaling but I so like to read a non-fiction/self-help type book in the morning. It is good to set a goal such as 10 pages or a chapter before you allow some phone time.
If you give this morning routine a try or follow any special morning routines in the summer I would love to hear about it!
