Have you heard about low impact cardio, but unsure where to start? These are some of my favorite low impact workouts that make me feel lean and strong.
Low impact cardio has many benefits, easy on the joints, great for fitness beginners, easy to do at home, and low stress on the body (great if you live stressful life). For my body, I feel much leaner, my body is not begging for food, and I have more energy from not being beat down from crazy intense workouts.
I encourage you to give these low impact cardio workouts a try!
Ashley Eckhoff is known for training models and pageant girls. She calls her workout LIIT, Low intensity interval training, and I think that is the best was to describe her workouts. Her workouts get your heart rate up and keep it up through the entire workout to burn fat but not muscle. Her workouts are going to give you killer abs, work your arms and booty but not build excess muscle to keep a lean “model-like” figure. I was doing her workouts with a bit of running before a vacation a couple years ago and looked my best I have looked in a while. I am back to doing her workouts again since she recently decreased her prices.
The Sculpt Society by Megan Roup is another workout at have done to get in amazing shape. TSS is another workout that is popular among models. It is not going to bulk you, but you will feel strong and burn fat as a result of consistent classes. TSS has a variety of classes and lengths. Some classes are more dance cardio which I would not consider super low impact but still will be much easier on the body than a burpee. My personal favorite class is her 30 min Sculpt classes. They are fast paced enough to keep your heart rate up, easy to increase the difficulty or modify, she uses simple or no equipment and most of the classes are full body and if not, the class description will tell you the description. Megan and all of her other instructors are sweet as can be and she offers some live classes as well. Use the sign up link below to get a 7 day free trial and an additional month FREE on the app.

Pure Barre Empower may be my personal favorite of the Pure Barre classes. Empower is 45 minutes long, you use a small step, ankle/ wrist weights, and 2 lb dumbbells. As with all Pure Barre classes this is very easy on the joints but you will be getting your heart rate up. Some of the movements are larger ranges of motion, the pace is fast, there is a few sprinkles of cardio, and the step, and weights add that extra intensity. If you are familiar with barre movements and are wanting to step up your cardio, this is a great class. Pure Barre studios offer Empower, but you can also go online to take an Empower class on-demand.
