Ashley Eckhoff Fitness On-Demand and Live Classes – all classes are the same format – some just vary in length

Description:

Ashley Eckhoff is the founder of her workout and the only instructor at this time. Her classes are all online unless you are lucky to attend one of her live events. She has a few live Zoom classes a week and has an On-Demand library full of workouts. The classes are unlike any other online class I have ever taken. She typically has her sister or an experienced client demo the class while she is in the corner of the screen giving instructions and chats about different topics during class. She is super real and relatable and also hilarious. Ashley Eckhoff is a former Track athlete and is constantly spewing real and honest motivation to you while taking her class.

Ashley used to coach for John Benton, founder of John Benton Model Fitness, who was very well know helping girls lean out and take inches off their bodies. Unfortunately John Benton was committed a crime and was sent to prison. You can google his name to learn about his demise. However, if you have heard of his method and/or used to enjoy it, I highly recommend checking out Ashley Eckhoff Fitness.

The workout itself is what she calls “LIIT” aka Low Intensity Interval Training. The classes are geared towards those who have goals to create a lean and toned figure like models, pageant girls, and any one else with similar goals. Most classes are made up of circuits that are repeated threes times each and start with a cardio move. The goal is to keep your heart rate between 120-150 for the duration of class for optimal fat burning. I can confirm the classes are just hard enough and super effective. Her method is very different from other low impact classes I have taken.

Class Length:

10 min – 1 hour, most classes are 55 min

Drop In Rate:

$18 for a single class, she also has class packages and an unlimited membership

Vibes:

Since the class is online, it is what you make it, however Ashley is super laid back and makes you feel like you are just working out with friends. She will make you work hard and her girls that she has demo her classes make it super easy to follow along.

Locker Room Situation:

Sweat Scale:

7/10, I tend to have sweat stains by the end of class due to the constant elevated heart rate.

Intensity Scale:

6.5/10, I am fairly in shape and can typically do all of the movements without taking a break.

What To Bring/ Wear:

I always wear shorts or leggings and a high intensity bra since you will jump around. Ashley pretty much always has you use 3 lb dumbbells and 1.5 lb ankle weights, those will be the only extra pieces of equipment you will need. You can use any mat, but she recommends something with a lot of cushion since there are a number of movements where you are doing high reps of abs on your back and laying on your side. I learned I needed a padded mat the hard way by getting bruises on my hips. I use this mat, and highly recommend it!

Additional Comments:

When I have been super consistent doing AEF, I have definitely looked by best. I am someone who gains muscle easy from lifting and her low impact workout is most effective for my aesthetic goals. Below is a picture of me when I was consistently doing Ashley’s workout and my abs were definitely popping! I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to lean out and does not like what lifting heavy does to their body (like me).
